NEET Dress Code 2020 - Medical aspirants appearing for National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) will be required to follow specific NEET 2020 dress code laid down by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Like other rules and regulations, the NEET dress code will be strictly implemented on all aspirants to prevent malpractices and cheating. The dress code of NEET 2020 guides the candidates about the kind of clothing, footwear and other items to be worn. The NEET 2020 dress code will also acquaint the candidates with items and clothing which are that are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall. The authority has issued a prescribed list of clothing in the NEET official information brochure which was released on December 1, 2019. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there are chances that NTA will prescribe new NEET dress code 2020, which may comprise of masks and sanitizers.

NEET dress code 2020

The authority has specified dress code for NEET 2020 for male and female candidates which must be adhered to. There are special guidelines in NEET 2020 information bulletin for the candidates who wish to appear for the exam in their customary dress. Before entering the exam hall, candidates will be frisked thoroughly with the help of highly metal sensitive detectors. Candidates must make sure they do not have anything prohibited on their person while entering the exam center of NEET 2020 so as to help the exam conducting authority in the security checks. The particular NEET dress code 2020 for male and female candidates has been provided below.

NEET 2020 dress code for Male or Boys candidates

As per the dress code of NEET, male candidates should ensure that they wear half sleeve shirts/T-shirts as full sleeve shirts are not allowed on the day of the examination.

Clothes worn by male candidates should be light ie., zip pockets, pockets, big buttons and clothes with elaborate embroidery should not be there.

Trousers and simple pants are a preferred NEET dress code 2020 for male candidates. Kurta pajama is not allowed.

Shoes are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. It is advisable that candidates wear sandals and chappal with a thin sole.

Dress Code for NEET 2020 for Female or Girls candidates

Female candidates are advised not to wear clothes which have elaborate embroidery, flowers, brooches or buttons as this is prohibited in the NEET 2020 dress code.

No clothes with full arm length sleeves should be worn on the day of examination. Following the dress code of NEET, female candidates should wear half sleeve clothes.

It is best to avoid high heels and thick sole shoes and instead opt for sandals or slippers. Low heel footwear is also allowed.

Female candidates must avoid wearing any kind of jewellery like earrings, nose rings, rings, pendants, necklace, bracelet or anklets. Metal detectors may cause unnecessary hassle if the metal is found on the person.

NEET 2020 Dress Code - Barred Items
Items like pen, paper, pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, pen, scale, writing pad, pen, eraser, calculator, electronic, pen/scanner, pen drive, etc are strictly prohibited.

Communication devices like mobile phone, earphones, microphones, pager, health-band are not allowed inside.

Personal belongings like wallet, goggles, handbags, belt, cap etc are not to be carried on the day of the exam.

Eatable items opened or packed or water bottle will not be allowed inside the NEET exam centre 2020. Diabetic aspirants will be allowed to carry eatables like fresh fruits/ sugar tablets and a transparent water bottle inside the exam hall.

Things to carry at the NEET 2020 exam hall
The only items to be carried by every aspirant inside the examination hall of NEET are as follows:

Mask on face

Gloves on hand

Personal transparent water bottle

Personal small hand sanitizer (50 ml)

Original copy of NEET 2020 admit card

Identification Proof (Aadhaar card, Ration card, Passport, PAN card, Driving license, Voter ID or other government authorised document)
